RaceDots Product Review
I have always been looking for a better way to attach race bibs to the front of my running shirts. As simple as the traditional safety pin is, it leaves a hole that never goes away. I recently put on a Saucony Hydralite shirt and noticed that there were a few holes in it from a previous race bid. I knew there had to be a better way to secure a race bib, I just needed to find it.
Last week, I saw a few people tweeting about RaceDots and ended up asking Jason and the RaceDots team if I could try out their highly regarded RaceDots. Not only had I heard great things about the product, but I wanted to finally find a way to eliminate the need for safety pins to secure my race bibs.
Below are a few pictures of RaceDots and what they looked like on one of my Saucony Hydralite shirts.

RaceDots Verdict
If you race a lot, you need RaceDots. Even if you don’t use all 4 magnets to lock your bib in place, using at least 2 will allow you to easily put any bib on and move around so that it positioned perfectly. I plan on using 2 for the upper parts of the bib. This will minimize the weight and secure my bib.
Not only will your bib be straight, but you will no longer have to put holes in your favorite race jerseys. I really wish I would have picked these up a few years ago when I started to racing.

RaceDots are the new and best way to keep a running or cycling bib in place. The strong rare-earth magnets easily keep any race bib in place. I was shocked at how strong the magnets actually were.
RaceDots were invented by Jason Berry. Not only is he a great guy, but he has managed his own cycling team for over 10 years and he really does know what works best to properly secure a bib. RaceDots will change the way that people will secure their race bib in place.
This video shows you how easy RaceDots are to use for running and cycling races.
I ordered my RaceDots on Monday and received them in 2 days. Great service from a great company.

- Fabric-Friendly: Easily keep your bib in place without damaging any shirt or jacket.
- Safe and Easy to Use: No more having to worry about pricking yourself with safety pins.
RaceDots Initial Thoughts
When I first opened up new RaceDots, I was excited for a number of reasons. The RaceDots, not only looked great but were way stronger than expected. There were times when I had trouble separating these magnets. This made me confident that I would have no issues losing a bib during a race.
I did notice that these were heavier than using 4 safety pins. Something that I wanted to run with and test to see how and if they would impact how I felt during my runs.
The Active Guy Conclusion
The RaceDots systems have made me a believer of a better way to support a race bib. Not only does it keep the bib in place, but it allows me to move it around so that it is actually straight without having to put another hole in my running shirt. A huge pet peeve that I will no longer need to deal with.
Every winter I run a few races that I wear a jacket in. During those races, I never would put a bib on my jacket because I didn't want to put holes in it. With RaceDots, bibs easily can be secured to any jacket or shirt.
Some may question the price, but it really is a one time fee as you get 5 so that if you have an issue or lose one of these strong magnets, you have a backup.
Update: Please note, RaceDots only includes 4, starting at $17.99. Racedots also offers a 10 pack starting at $39.99. Originally 5 Racedots were being sent out for $24.99.
The benefits of this amazing product outweigh the minimal cost.

This is really cool. I knew there had to be an alternative to those safety pins that leave holes. Thanks for sharing this review! 🙂
