With the Endorphin Pro 3 shoe, I continued to order a 1/2 size up, like I have been doing with all of my Saucony running shoes. The width of the shoe remains similar to other Saucony shoes.

In my opinion, the Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 shoe is the best racing shoe I have worn to date. Lightweight, comfortable, and the carbon-fiber plate really makes you run faster.

If you are looking for a fast race day running shoe, I highly recommend giving the Endorphin Pro 3 shoe a try. Make sure you have plenty of training runs in these before you wear them for a long distance race. Mechanics can sometimes change when using carbon-fiber plates for the first time.

Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 Initial Thoughts

I wore the Saucony Endorphin Pro 2 for my last marathon and always wondered if the updated version of the Endorphin Pro would be better than its predecessor. While I like the look of the Endorphin Pro 2, the 3rd iteration just looks awesome.

As soon as I opened the box, I was impressed with how the shoes looked. The shoes felt light, looked fast, and the foam seemed liked it would provide a comfortable ride. The mesh upper was so thin and light, you can see through it, which helps reduce the weight.

I first wore these on an 8 mile speed effort on the treadmill and knew that these shoes would help me run faster.

Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 Shoe Sole

At the heart of the Endorphin Pro 3’s exceptional performance is its advanced sole technology. The shoe features Saucony’s signature SPEEDROLL technology, promoting a smoother and more efficient transition from heel to toe. The sole did start to wear after a few longer races/run, but that is expected on these high end shoes.

Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 Shoe Upper

The upper of the Endorphin Pro 3 had some significant changes from the Pro 2. If you compare them side by side, the Pro 3 will feel lighter, but the upper is much thinner and on the surface looks to breathe better. The laces are also a little different than what came with the Pro 2 version.

The upper of the Endorphin Pro 3 is constructed with a lightweight and breathable mesh material. If you look closely at the pictures below, you can see the mesh. This not only keeps your feet cool during intense runs but also contributes to the overall flexibility of the shoe. The FORMFIT technology ensures a customized fit, adapting to your foot for enhanced comfort.

The Endorphin Pro 3 also features a minimalistic yet effective lacing system that contributes to a secure lockdown fit. It prevents unnecessary movement within the shoe, providing stability during high-speed efforts and long distance runs.
