Generation UCAN Product review
I am always looking for ways to improve my abilities when it comes to running, cycling, and just about any fitness related activity. I previously wrote about EnduroPacks and the impact that this had on my training. I was reading about Meb Keflezighi and noticed that he was a supporter of the Generation UCAN nutritional product and wanted to learn more about this product. I sent an email to the Generation UCAN team and they were nice enough to send me a sample of their products to try for this review.
If you attend race expo shows or read fitness articles, then you know there are a ton of different nutritional supplements on the market today. Whenever I see a new product sponsored by great athletes, I always wonder if it would help me improve.
With so much competition, I naturally wonder what makes one product better or different from another. According to their website, the thing that makes their products different is the SuperStarch. As mentioned on their website, “Generation UCAN is powered by SuperStarch, a healthy, natural, gluten-free innovation in carbohydrate nutrition. SuperStarch is a complex carbohydrate (derived from non-GMO corn) that uniquely stabilizes blood sugar and causes almost no reaction from the fat-storage hormone insulin.” It goes on to say that it’s a “more efficient energy source than sugars, caffeine, or high-carb meals.” This product was originally designed to help children with energy imbalances.
These products are easy on the stomach and allow you to perform while burning fat, something all athletes need.
Below are the items (along with pictures) I received for writing this product review.

- 2 packets UCAN with Protein Drink Mix (Vanilla Cream)
- 2 UCAN Snack Bars (Cinnamon, Chocolate)

Generation UCAN Powders
Generation UCAN has a number of powder drinks. They include the traditional Drink Mix, Protein Mix, and the Plain SuperStarch. These products are typically 100-130 calories.
Drink Mix: This incredible tasting power has no added sugar, powered by SuperStarch, and can be used before, during, and after workouts.
