Spring and summer are always great times for running, cycling, and other fitness related gear. Seeing the updates to shoes, apparel, accessories, and more is always exciting to see how things have changed year over year. I have seen updates that have been great and I have also seen updates that have been less than desirable. Not knowing what the top brands are doing makes it fun for me to write and review all these updated and new products.

Below is a list of running shoes that will be released in June and July 2016. Updates include shoes from Brooks, Saucony, Asics, Adidas, Nike, and more!

Here are thumbnails of the shoes discussed that will be available this summer.

If you are buying shoes for the first time, make sure you check out my my post about how to find the right running shoes. Having the right shoes will make your running journey a more enjoyable experience.

Hoka One One Clifton 3 (Available 7/1/16)

Hoka One One Clifton 3

If you have read my other posts, then you know I am a huge fan of the Hoka One One Clifton running shoe. My previous reviews of the Clifton 1 and Clifton 2 have provided positive feedback from readers. When I heard about Hoka One One coming out with a new model, I was more than excited.

The updated Hoka One One Clifton 3 shoe has finally updated the forefoot, which is wider than the Clifton 2 (definitely needed as it was way too narrow). The shoe remains lightweight and responsive as you would expect from the Clifton model.

$130 for an incredible shoe that can be used for racing, training, and long runs is a great value.

Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 33 (Available 6/2/16)

Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 33

I first wore the Pegasus shoe in middle school. To this day it is still an incredible shoe in its 33rd model. I don’t typically run in Nike’s, but this is one I think is worth giving a shot.

One of the main updates to the Pegasus 33 is the updated material of the shoe upper. Improved materials will help with feel and durability.

The shoe remains lightweight and responsive. The price point for this shoe makes it a great value for a daily trainer.

Saucony Zealot ISO 2 (Available 6/1/16)

Saucony Zealot ISO 2

I have been a huge fan of the Saucony ISO 2 running shoes. I recently picked up a pair of the Saucony Hurricane ISO 2 and have nothing but great runs with these. When I saw the updated Zealot ISO 2, I wanted to share these with readers.

The updates to the Zealot are minor, but the updated sole make this one of my favorites this summer besides the Clifton. Besides an incredible fit (ISOFIT), this shoe has some sweet color combinations.

This ISO 2 is cheaper than the Hurricane and some other Saucony models making this a high value shoe in my opinion.
